The new award Starbucks Cold Cup, launched nationare made with up to 20% less plastic, 2 lids sizes instead of 4, and accessibility features for inclusive design.

OBJECTIVE

Create an inclusive cold cup experience for Starbucks Partners.

APPROACH

Leverage human-centered design approach to define needs of people with limited, vision, limited hearing, limited cognition, and limited physical capabilities, ideate and prototype solutions, and test and validate solutions with users. I worked with the lead packaging engineer to define accessibly featuers that would make this cup more usable for all.

RESULTS

Impact 4 accessibility features in this cold cup making it more usable for low vision partners, and influenced packaging to prioritize accessibility.
