A Happy Place
Why do I like baking? It's fun. I get to work with my hands. I get to pick and choose whatever color, taste, ingredients that I want. It's one of my favorite art mediums. I get to be creative. I get to share smiles with friends and family. I get to create and be part of happy experiences for people. I get to bring people together. I get to tell other people that I care about them. I get to make pretty and tasty things! Baking is a form of creative expression and communication for me. It's a challenge and a treat for me, and it gives me an opportunity to connect with other people!
Below is a collection of many of my baking adventures, some lasting a couple hours, and some over 10 hours. Most of these were made for fun, but, a couple of them were made for special occasions! I thought that it would be more exciting to show the process and progression of my baking adventures. I was never just "good at it," but I quickly learned to refine my skills each time I tried. I started off with using "Pillsbury Funfetti" cake-box mixes, and now, I've been asked by party staff whether baking is my profession. I hope that seeing more insight into my process will inspire you to work at the things you love to do!
Here are some videos that I made for fun about 8 years ago before sped-up food making videos became popular on BuzzFeed and Instragram!
