Cake Kit

OBJECTIVE

Design a baking kit that helps novice bakers bake a cake that looks good and tastes good for their friend's birthday without needing a baking pantry and baking equipment.

MOTIVATION

Many people love to bake for birthdays and special events, but some parts of baking suck. You need to have a baking pantry, baking equipment, decorating equipment, and a way to transport your cake. Right now, baking mixes act as stepping stone for foolproof baking, but there is nothing in the market that helps a novice bakers bake a cake without specialty equipment. Cake Kit is 3 layered cake kit that includes all the dry ingredients, baking equipment, and decorating equipments for a novice baker to make a special cake for a special friend. All you need to have is butter, milk, and eggs!

Transparency of ingredients is becoming more and more important for food consumers. Millennials use baking mixes because they love baking more than they use it for convenience.

"A younger generation of potential bakers cares about "transparency"... Millennials are, as per that study, “more apt to say they use baking mixes because they enjoy baking than they are to use them for their convenience.” Shame is a nonstarter. Their problem with traditional cake mixes is unrelated to the idea of their being seen as an inauthentic form of baking; it has to do with the assumption that they are full of fake materials." - Washington Post
